Above anything else, this is our means and space of life. This is important: we are not a hotel.
Mas Palou exists because we want to preserve a collection of singularities, to share a certain way of living. Unlike many other places to stay, we have chosen to keep it real, easy and small. (POSAR FOTO FAMILY ANTIGA I FOTO CECI)

So, in short: we’re a small family sharing its home.

La Maria i l’Anna, sempre a punt.
History
We’ve taken care of this land since the early 14th century. This makes at least 16 generations –and probably a couple more–. Each part of Mas Palou has been built following the needs of the time; a huge cellar for the wine, a St. James chapel for the faith, a swimming pool for the sweat.

Hosting
On their way to the sacred mountain of Montserrat, pilgrims have always been welcomed here. See that engraving? A bread and and egg; food and shelter. Our ancestors were enjoying good company, just like we do.

Something about the bread and the egg logo.

We renovated old spaces to make them warm and cozy.
Nature
We’ve always been farmers. Like many of our neighbours, we’re into vineyards and olive trees. They grow nice in this Mediterranean soil. It is still our main activity, so if you decide to visit us, expect overalls, not uniforms.

We grow mostly native varieties, like Xarel·lo and Macabeu.

Santi
Dad. A winegrower since birth, always tractoring in and out of the vineyard, eyes fixed on the sky, waiting for rain (if you ask if it’s raining, the answer is always no). A lover of food, jazz, vermouth, and theater. Beware of his dry humor.

Adelina
Mom. A phenomenal self-taught cook with a sharp eye for detail. She enjoys a home renovation more than she probably should, knows how to create a warm space, and sets a perfect table. Officially retired but more energetic than ever. Loves to read, write, and explore new restaurants—just like the rest of the family.

Maria
The older sister. Studied at Columbia, traveled half the world, then came back to put down roots. A creative and a sommelier, she oversees weddings and captures our life in images. Enjoys films and dark memes.

Anna
The younger one. A humanist and enologist in progress. A Renaissance woman who can edit a book and master an Excel sheet. In charge of books and wines, you’ll find her mixing fresh must in the cellar or out discovering the newest wine bar.

Pisca
The dog (Malinois & German Shepherd mix). Full of energy but not a biter. If you throw something, she’ll fetch it—again and again. Be warned!
